OVERVIEW

Room60 were commissioned by Tide Construction to produce 25 verified views to support the planning application of a proposed double-tower skyscraper, (44 and 38 storeys) containing 546 flats as well as ground-floor shops and offices on the former Essex House site in Croydon.

A fully rendered model of the building was developed and accurately sited into the photos with the aid of surveyed reference points. Other proposed and consented schemes were included in the visuals as block massing or red line to place the new towers into their future context.

The building achieved planning permission in November 2017 and when finished will be the tallest prefabricated tower in the world, constructed with prefab concrete cubes, shipped to the site and stacked to form the residential units around the tower's core structure.
